The National Celtic Festival

Port Arlington was brought to life over the queens birthday weekend as over 15000 Celtic music lovers descended on the town. With bright coloured flags, lively music sessions and some fantastic bands, everyone was treated to some of the best Celtic acts in Australia. Some favourites around the festival were John Carty, Tam Lin and of coarse Will-o'-the-Wisp Fire circus who were well and truly kept busy over the weekend. With Full fire shows, roving twirlers, stilt walkers, glo acts, balloon animals and children's entertainment.
The Festival was opened with "Reel Fire" Will-o'-the-Wisp's Celtic Fire show, followed by a series of great bands, and musicians. After the main stage closed, the festival continued in the main bar with Full Circle putting their high energy session skills to good use.
Saturday and Sunday were a treat for kids and adults alike with a great range of performers as well as the Will-o'-the-Wisp Stilt walkers performing live Celtic music on Stilts and our kids entertainers treating the children to free balloon animals, juggling workshops and twirling classes. On both nights Will-o'-the-Wisp took over the Village stage for our spectacular indoor fire show. With fire stilts, fire skipping, Fire hula hoops, staff twirling, poi and of coarse our live Celtic band, our show packed out the venue with queues that went right out the door. Next year, be sure to get your seat early!!
